Around early December 2018, a man on Facebook came forward with startling accusations against the three brothers. According to the netizen, he was affected by one of the pranks executed by Tukomi. During a particular prank inside a mall in Davao, one Tukomi brother swam in the mall pool. Later on, he was seen on the video being apprehended by a lady guard. The guard claimed that he was the security guard in duty, however, he was on a break at that time. Because he was unable to stop the man from swimming, he was reprimanded and fired promptly from his job. He claimed that until today, he remains jobless and was not able to provide for his four kids. Because of this, many people couldn’t help but feel disappointed with the Tukomi brothers. At first, the Tukomi brothers remained silent throughout the public backlash that they received. But in the end, they decided to clear the matter once and for all. In a video they uploaded on YouTube, the Tukomi brothers claimed that none of the allegations were true. First, they asked permission from the owner of GMall before filming. Second, no male security guard was seen during that time was a female. Third, the security guard was not even on-duty, so how can he be reprimanded? The Tukomi brothers pointed out holes after holes in the man’s claims. In addition to that, the Tukomi brothers thanked their loyal supporters for not believing the rumors and also warned others not to be quick in listening to everything they hear on the internet due to the widespread of fake news.
